Coaching is all about helping people
get from where they are to where they want
to be in a clear, no nonsense, yet supportive
manner. It means having confidential communication,
being supportive, being honest, being dependable,
being discreet and trustworthy, being clear
and accountable.

"I enjoyed reading your new book, The Million
Dollar Practice. Your common sense, disciplined
approach helped me achieve Chairman's Club
status the last couple of years. Thanks
Again."

I have worked with Paul since about 1991.
I needed to turn around a serious slump
in my business. Paul's Coaching was the
solution for me. I started in the business
is 1979. My business grew rapidly from 90,000
gross in 1980 to 1.1 million in 1988. Market
conditions combined with personal problems
caused me to lose focus. My business dropped
steadily: 1.0mill in 89, 900m in 90, 800m
in 1991 and dropping. My personal finances
were not in great shape either. Our expenses
exceeded income and net worth was dropping.
Paul spent an entire day (about 12 hours)
with me going over each of my clients. As
I told him about a client, Paul asked how
much business they were doing and what they
might do if I gave them more attention.
Once he had a clear picture of my clients
and their potential to add to my income
Paul outlined a business plan to target
the clients with the most potential to do
business. As my finances were in disarray
we also worked on that. Paul came to my
house, met with my wife and the three of
us discussed a spending plan we could live
with while anticipating the future upturn
in income. I have continued to meet with
Paul each quarter as a CEO meets with his
Board of Directors. We start our meetings
talking about where I stand in relation
to goals I set. We do a sometimes difficult
attribution analysis. We end up brainstorming
for new ideas and better methods.
Since starting to work with Paul my gross
has doubled and my net worth is up ten fold.
I am very happy with the relationship. Invariably
people ask me: Why couldn't you do that
yourself instead of hiring someone else.
Theoretically I could. I never got around
to it. I was too busy earning a living to
make any money or have any fun. The same
thing happened with a personal trainer.
I never got around to losing weight or getting
in shape until I was paying for appointments
with a personal trainer.

Our group has been using Paul since January
2000, and some of the factors driving our
success are a result of consulting with
Paul. Paul gives us an opportunity to step
back and take a strategic look at our business,
and ultimately address issues we feel will
make a significant positive impact. Before
using Paul, we would be less likely to take
the time out to analyze the business metrics
and structure we needed to understand and
focus on to be prepared for the next levels
of production. As a result we have a specific
long-term game plan incorporating our entire
team. Without the coach's help we would
clearly not be as successful. When was the
last time your firm (or you) took a whole
day to analyze and help you structure your
business to focus on the most important
elements of success?
Brett D. Clifford, Managing Director,
Investment Services Group, a major Wall Street firm
In this ever-changing investment landscape,
many financial consultants flounder because
they lack direction. This was what happened
to our team before we started working with
Paul Williams. Our business had mushroomed,
but we couldn't take it to the next level
because we weren't focused. Every day we
reacted to our business instead of taking
control. Paul sat down with us and discussed
the need for a business plan and clearly
defined roles for all team members. In addition,
his Coaching helped us to determine specific
team objectives and goals. The most important
thing for our team was now we were accountable
to someone for the milestones we had put
to paper. This fact helped our team work
more efficiently and cohesively.

My experience using Paul Williams as a
coach was an extremely positive one, with
excellent results. The benefits were great.
My "business vision and plan" became more
clarified and focused; Paul's guidance helped
me to realize what is most important to
me, and my life... He is a very effective
coach and counselor, extremely intuitive,
and a wonderful communicator. Using Paul
Williams was one of the smartest business
decisions I ever made.... I highly recommend
any advisor looking to improve their business-
and their life- to use him.

Paul! We work together because you know
our business, you listen very well, and
you are good at drawing timely ideas out
of our conversations. Our talks are always
valuable, even though I often go into our
calls with zero expectations.
Thanks for being there when I need you,
George Page, Senior Vice President Investments,
UBS
"Paul's personal listening style allows
him to get involved with my thinking process,
drawing the critical issues out for us to
focus on as a team. We started working with
Paul in 1990 and over the last ten years
we have increased sales four fold, added
new products, opened up new markets and
increased net income ten fold. Having his
advice and counsel and being a sounding
board for me has been invaluable."

Company
It is not because he is an expert in my
product, micro-abrasive blasting, that I
have worked with Paul Williams for the past
11 years. It is that he causes me to recognize
what I already know, and then act on it.
He truly is a "catalyst" for pulling the
issues out of my subconscious or inactive
zones and into an action list. The proof
is in the value he has helped me create
here at Comco.
Neil Weightman, President, Comco Inc.
Paul, I ran across some notes that I had
taken from several of my sessions with you.
You had given me an assignment in the early
part of last year when I was dealing with
some serious personal issues. Across the
top of one page of notes were the words
"Celebrate Life" (I remember it feeling
a little far fetched considering my circumstances
at the time). The assignment was to list
the qualities/behavior that I would like
to see in my relationship, and then compare
the list to my current situation. That was
an eye opener! Written on that same page
was the following: "be ruthless in your
decision-making and compassionate in your
execution." It reminded me that you have
advised me in so many ways over the past
years.
A lot has happened since then! Although
I may not have followed every goal and objective
we had discussed for the business, things
are working out quite nicely. My business
will do as much if not more in gross sales
than last year despite the fact that many
companies are experiencing a significant
decline. My personal life has blossomed
beyond my wildest dreams and I feel so much
better about myself, and what I have to
offer.
Much of this has to do with your guidance,
support and confidence in me. At first I
thought it a bit odd that so much of our
discussions were focused on the personal
side. Now I know that in order to be truly
successful I need to find balance in my
life, not throw myself into work at the
expense of everything else. You have helped
me do that in a huge way! You provided me
with the stepping stones in which to get
to where I am today. You are very intuitive,
providing me with a fresh outlook on both
the professional and personal aspects of
my life. Thanks for all that you have done
for me.
